A Futurytale...

 Once upon a Secret Journey, many miles away, the world humanity once knew had changed forever. Geography had been redesigned and forgotten maps led to nowhere. New experimental communities were growing under the threat of an evil Multinational whose sole purpose was to subject all free citizens to its will.

 Hidden somewhere in the Old Continent, stood the last stronghold of freedom that the Multinational couldn’t lay its tyrannical hands on. This remote province, shielded by mountains, lakes and rivers, was called Darkingshore. Its inhabitants were a few, less than a small country town, but their devotion to the cause of liberty was so fervid that they had driven their enemies away innumerable times.

 Their resistance was inspired by a wealthy man, noble both in spirit and heritage, whose name was Lord Darkingshore. He had acquired the land from the bankrupting government and declared it a safe haven for all those who loved the cause of liberty and independence. He instituted a special group of knights to the safeguard of this land and established the sacred order of the Darkingshore Police Department.

 The citizens of Darkingshore referred to themselves as “emotion seekers” because they sought to protect the inestimable patrimony of the past that the Multinational was trying to destroy. Their emotions were guided by reason and the quest for a more perfect understanding of history. For this purpose, they gathered in the “Courts of Conoscence” where they preserved the knowledge that so many enemies had tried to erase. Libraries were considered temples for the preservation of this patrimony. Books, movies, music, paintings, maps and any object of historical value was preserved and guarded inside their libraries.

 In this scenario, police officers had the sacred responsibility of watching over their fellow country men and women’s lives. Captains and Troopers were regarded as “Defenders of the Faith” and this prosperous kingdom of liberty was preserved by the Gods to create a new standard of justice and wisdom.

 This is where our story began, a modern-day epopee, a futuristic fairytale or “futurytale”. To all those who want to proceed and read further in the next pages, this will be an opportunity to see humanity’s resilience after the ordeals and wars that had torn the planet apart. In this sheltered province called Darkingshore, women and men learned to live again and establish a brand new society inspired by the greatest achievements of the past.

 It shall be for all of you the beginning of a Secret Journey.
